FAQ
All your questions
How much does it cost a school to start?
A parent-pay fundraiser costs the school $0 to start. Parents order school-approved shoes online, and the school earns credit or spare pairs based on the option you choose.
What is a fit kit?
A fit kit lets your director and staff see and size sample shoes before launching anything to parents. It is inspired by try-first retail so you can fit better before you commit.
How does the give-forward model work?
Give-forward is a program design, not a past donation claim. By default we plan for every 10 parent-paid pairs to help fund 1 school-closet spare pair, and each classroom bundle to include 2 spare pairs. These assumptions are configurable.
Are you affiliated with Warby Parker or TOMS?
No. We are inspired by try-first convenience and give-forward impact, but ALPACA LLAMA MAMA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Warby Parker or TOMS.
What does the 30-pair classroom bundle include?
The pilot bundle is $599 for 30 pairs. The premium bundle adds size-measuring sheets, labels, and an exchange allowance. Final size mix is chosen with you.
How are orders delivered?
Orders can be bulk delivered to the school or shipped direct to parents — whichever fits your program. Typical production lead time is 25–30 days.
Who is this for?
Private schools, Montessori programs, preschools, daycares, religious and charter schools, parent associations, and local sponsors who want to stock a school shoe closet.
Can a local business sponsor a school?
Yes. Sponsors can fund a school shoe closet starting from $750. It is a warm, visible way for local businesses to support kids who need backup pairs.
